Why this exists

This is a one-job tool: keep your screen from auto-locking while you're doing something that needs it to stay on — a long AI coding agent run, a download, a presentation, a recipe you don't want to re-unlock your phone for every two minutes.

It's built on the browser's own Screen Wake Lock API — no hidden video loop, no simulated input, no extra CPU or battery cost. That matters more than it might sound: older tools built before this API existed everywhere fake activity with a silent looping video as a fallback, and that approach can measurably spike CPU usage. This one doesn't need a fallback — the real API has been supported in Chrome, Edge, Firefox (126+), and Safari (16.4+) since 2024.

The blank/stealth screen mode exists because sometimes you want the tool doing its job without announcing that your laptop is sitting open and unlocked while you're away from your desk. It defaults to plain black, but you can upload your own photo instead — your actual desktop wallpaper, a favorite picture, anything — so at a glance it looks like nothing more than your normal screen.

No account, no install, no data collection beyond standard site analytics (see theprivacy policy) — if you set a custom wallpaper, that image is stored only in your own browser and never uploaded anywhere.
